Sources close to VGWL have discovered that the wholesale price of PlayStation 3 consoles has dropped by $50 this week. What does this mean? It means that Sony is trying to cover their ass by denying a price drop so that current sales won't be hurt. So, either the wholesale price has magically dropped for no reason, or a price drop is coming within the next few weeks. We're willing to bet it's the latter.
