God of War: Chains of Olympus Going Cheap Next Month E-mail

PSP owners who have been holding out for a great deal on God of War can rejoice - the hit game is going Greatest Hits next month and will drop to a $19.99 price. I might actually be tempted to pick this game up, as I have a personal rule not to spend more than $20 on a portable game. There are a few other titles going GH also, but the only other one that's price dropping is SOCOM: Tactical Strike.

Sony Still in Denial About PS3 Price Cut E-mail

Oh, Sony. It's so damn obvious that a price cut is coming, yet you seem to think your supporters are so ignorant that we're going to keep believing that crap. I'll say it again: a price cut is coming. Historically, companies will deny price cuts until the very last possible moment - otherwise, current sales will all but stop. Why buy a PS3 today for $400 when you know next month it will be $300? Exactly.

Keep digging, Sony. I've stopped giving a shit about your price cut denials for some time now.

For the love of God, Capcom. Make up your fucking mind. First, we were assured that all future releases would be multi-platform. Then, we learned that the game could possibly be a full-on Xbox 360 exclusive, or, at best, a timed exclusive. Well, now, Capcom's Jun Takeuchi has stated that they are "currently investigating other platforms."

No shit, Capcom? Other platforms, such as the PlayStation 3 perhaps? Stop with all the douche-baggery and just give your supporters a straight answer for once.

No, not that kind of pirate.  We're talking about the legal kind, matey. Beginning on March 25, Xbox Live users can enjoy Capcom's new Pirate avatar outfits. The Age of Booty sponsored avatars had better be free of charge, to keep with the pirate theme and all. I'm personally hoping for an eye patch.. is a sword too much to ask for?

Xbox Live sure is having issues over the past few days. Yesterday, it was the billing issues; now, it's the Midnight Club Los Angeles: South Central DLC. While PSN users have been enjoying Rockstar's latest offerings since yesterday, Xbox Live users weren't so lucky. Apparently, due to "unforeseen bugs", the pack will not be available on XBL until the kinks are worked out.

The new Call of Duty: World at War map pack is now live, chock-full-o zombies. Yay! More zombie games! I can hear the sounds of cash ringing in my ears with this one. 'Cause, it's not like zombies have been over-done or anything.

Having trouble with Xbox Live? You're not alone. Major Nelson reports that "Xbox LIVE members may experience issues related to billing." In other words, you might not be able to purchase games on the marketplace, redeem points, etc. No worries, you didn't need to be spending all that cash anyway! Leave it down, I say!

New Uncharted 2 Details E-mail

If you haven't had a chance to play the original Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, you owe it to yourself to pick it up, especially now that you can get it on the cheap. The game represents everything that a great adventure game should be, and more. So it is with great enthusiasm that we await its sequel, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

In a recent interview with Naughty Dog's co-lead designer, IGN got some juicy details:

"..We've added animations and technology that allow Drake to climb and explore the environment in a much more free-form and organic manner. Drake's movement has expanded by leaps and bounds (Pun intended!) beyond just jumping from handhold to handhold. Drake now freely clambers hand over hand on all sorts of objects like walls, ladders, signposts, monkey bars, ledges, ropes and so on. We added the ability for him to swing on free-hanging ropes across chasms, too."

Metal Gear Solid Touch Now Available for iPhone Users E-mail

Even though I'm not a huge fan of the Metal Gear series, or Apple for that matter, I think it's damn cool that the iPhone is getting its own version. Apple is quickly proving that their phone is a viable gaming platform (the iPhone has a game library greater than that of the Sony PSP, for example).

Whip out your credit card and head over to the Apple store, where MGST can be yours for a mere $8. Not bad, considering the drivel  you can find on Xbox Live for $10 and up. Well played, Apple!
