Surprised that you can get gaming news over at MSNBC?  Remember that MSNBC is partly owned by Microsoft - the fearless leader of our favorite current-gen consoles. A couple of months ago, MSNBC composed a list of the top 5 most anticipated games of this year. Let's see what they came up with.

2. Punch-Out!! (Wii)

3. Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360 and PS3)

4. StarCraft II (PC)

5. Wheelman (Xbox 360 and PS3)

Let's look at that last one again. Wheelman. No shit. How Midway's mediocre game made it on to this list is beyond me. I can only imagine that at the time the article was edited (January 2009), it seemed like Wheelman would be a great game. Not. It's Midway, you could have smelled that crap from a mile away.

Some games are notably missing from this list - Bioshock 2, for example. And FF13 may not even come out this year. Wow, what a crappy list!
